Keeping Fit: Michelle Khare’s Innovative Fitness Routines

Many celebrities share their fitness routines online, but all the workouts seem to be exactly the same. However, there’s one woman on the internet who has been pushing fitness boundaries in fun and exciting ways in order to entertain her nearly 1.2 million subscribers.

Michelle Khare, a former Buzzfeed producer and current Youtube star, has completed numerous fitness challenges on her channel. From I Trained Like a Victoria’s Secret Model for 5 Weeks to I Tried Marine Boot Camp, Khare has accomplished physical challenges (with the help of professional trainers) that few people would attempt. When training for her Youtube videos, Khare works closely with personal trainer Steve Zim, owner of A Tighter U Gym, to create fitness routines that work for her.

Diet

Khare maintains a healthy diet regardless of what training regimen she’s on. In her video, I Got a Custom Genetic Workout & Diet Plan Based on My DNA, Khare’s diet was taken to the extreme, where servings were predetermined precisely for her (even down to the milligrams!). Khare has also attempted Gluten-free, Vegan Raw, and Fruitarian diets, all of which are growing in popularity. However, there’s one common theme between all of Khare’s diets: balance. Khare makes sure that she gets all of the nutrients that she needs, regardless of the diet that she attempts. As always, before starting any new diet make sure to speak with a doctor or dietitian.

Workouts

Khare has completed many over-the-top workout routines, making her an awesome fitness inspiration. From cardio to strength training, Khare does it all. In a video with Sweet Sweat, Khare shared her at-home ab workout which is a great option for those who don’t have a personal trainer.

Khare typically does one hour of strength and one hour of cardio daily, and provides herself with one rest day weekly. A unique element of Khare’s workouts is that she makes them fun. Instead of running on a treadmill, Khare has tried flying bungee fitness, which required both strength and cardio training.

One thing you can take away from Khare’s crazy routines is to make your workouts enjoyable! Find the workouts that get you excited, and give them your all.

Mental Health

An important part of well-being that many people tend to forget about is mental health. Khare has been an advocate for mental health and has shared her anti-anxiety and relaxation routine on her channel. She also discussed the impact her intense diets can have on mental health and how society has set unrealistic body expectations for both men and women. Khare has been open about her insecurities involving femininity, particularly in the video where she buys makeup for the first time.

Unrealistic body expectations and self-degradation can be difficult for those beginning a new fitness routine, so remember to stay confident and don’t let anyone (or anything) keep you from what you want. For inspiration, you can listen to Khare’s original song “Tell Me I Can’t.”

Fitness is defined differently for every person. For some, fitness is going to the gym and pushing yourself beyond your expectations. For others, fitness is maintaining a balanced diet, or finding ways to decrease stress and promote self-care.

Regardless of what fitness means for you, Khare is someone to aspire to be like. She pushes herself out of her comfort zone and is constantly striving to improve as a person. While her workout routine may be too intense for the average joe, there are elements you can incorporate into your own daily fitness routine.
