Beauty Review: The New Highlighter You’ll Be Obsessed With this Fall

As summer ends and we start to feel the chill of autumn creeping in, there’s usually a few questions on our minds, such as, “Where am I going to find a big enough coat to stay warm?” and, “Can I really wear heeled boots to class with all those hills I have to climb?” However, the question a lot of students may be asking themselves is, “How am I going to keep my skin glowing with all of this dry weather on the way?”
Of course, we can always turn to face masks and moisturizers to keep dry skin at bay. For those who are looking for a little more shine during those dreary autumn days, a new highlighter might just be what you’re looking for. No highlighter compares to the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand.
For me, one of the most important aspects of a good highlighter is its ability to make a natural, yet noticeable, difference. I want a lot of shine with only a little bit of product. Because of the Beauty Light Wand’s light reflecting particles, only a swipe of the product over your cheekbones is enough to give your skin a soft yet brightening effect.
If you were to search up the Beauty Light Wand on the Charlotte Tilbury website, it would not take very long to see how many fans the product has. With an overall 4.5 star rating and a total of 326 reviews, it’s easy to see that the highlighter has its fair share of supporters.
One user, who goes by the screen name Lottedeboer, described the product as “...the most stunning, foolproof, glowing, dewy universal liquid highlighter there is.” Another anonymous user praised it’s natural look, saying, “It isn't glittery or metallic at all, it just imparts a lovely, lit-from-within glow that looks extremely natural.”
However, along with the overwhelming praise, there is some critique. Though the product does make the face look dewy, some reviewers worry that the amount of product in the tube isn’t enough to justify the price.
The light wand tube is 0.41 fluid ounces, and costs $38. And, though the tube is already small, some reviewers of the product have said that the tube isn’t completely full, either.
One user wrote, “For the price I feel like it should be full and plenty should come out.” For college students, this can be a bit of a problem, as we are often looking for products that deliver a great look without breaking the bank.
Though the price of the Beauty Light Wand is certainly something to consider, I really do believe that it is one of the most natural and gorgeous highlighting products out there. I have tried several other highlighters, both on the cheaper side of the makeup spectrum and on the more expensive side, and nothing has come close to the Beauty Light Wand for me. Every other highlighter I’ve tried has not looked as effortless and radiant as the Beauty Light Wand.
For that reason, I recommend the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand, which is perfect for anyone who’s looking for that extra little sparkle.
