Poshmark is a super easy-to-use app that lets you sell your clothes online. Simply upload a picture of the item with a brief description and a price of your choosing.
“To me it was really important to have a job that I actually liked so I wouldn’t mind spending my summer working,” said Allie Puglisi, a freshman letters and sciences major and avid Poshmark user.
“Something I found really easy was to sell my clothes online because it requires minimal effort,” Puglisi said. “I don’t have to leave my house unless I’m sending the package to the post office. I can basically ‘work’ from home.”
After all of her Poshmark sales, Puglisi has made nearly $200. To Puglisi, Poshmark is a great side job that requires little time commitment.
2. Become a Dog Walker With Wag!
Interested in walking dogs to make some easy cash? Wag! is the app for you. With little training and a love for pets, you can easily become a dog walker in the D.C. area.
“Dog sitting is great or just pet sitting in general,” said Katie May, a freshman biomedical engineering major.
As a frequent Wag! worker, May has walked countless dogs in the metropolitan region. May enjoys dog walking and doesn’t find it to be too much work.
3. Become an Amazon Package Deliverer
There’s nothing more convenient than ordering something on Amazon and having it arrive that day. Why not be an actual Amazon package deliverer? If you have a car and want to make some fast cash, this could be the job for you.

With flexible hours, you can schedule your own time to work, so you can still find time to relax during the summer.
4. Become a GrubHub Delivery Driver
Similar to Amazon, GrubHub delivery driving is another easy way to make some cash. As a delivery driver, you would pick up and deliver food to customers in your area.
Luckily, GrubHub lets you keep 100% of your tips. You can also create a schedule that fits your preferences. This is another great way to make money while barely leaving the seat of your car.
5. Become a Camp Counselor in Your Community
Do you love working with kids? Working as a local camp counselor could be the perfect job for you.
Gabby McCoy, a freshman education major, has had great experiences working as a camp counselor.
“It’s fun and you get to be outside all of the time,” said McCoy, who works at her church’s camp every summer.
“You get worn out by the end of the day, but the activities are all really fun.”
Regardless of where you live, there are many opportunities to work at day camps and make an impact on the lives of many kids. Plus, you can make some cash.
Apart from these five ideas, there are so many other opportunities to make some easy money over the summer. No matter what you love, you are sure to find something up your alley.
