Are you a busy college student on the go? Do you need an easy, quick makeup routine that doesn’t waste extra sleeping time or make too much of a dent on your wallet? Then these five easy makeup tips are for you.
Moisturizer
First things first, always moisturize. This will give your skin a fresh dewy look, while also hydrating your skin and leaving your face more refreshed. If you are someone who loves a fresh glow but also needs a little coverage on your face, mix your foundation with your daily moisturizer. This will give your face the hydration that it needs, while also being a lightweight foundation that won’t look cakey on your face. This is perfect for the hot spring days that are quickly approaching!
Eyeshadow
If you want a nice pop of color for your eyeshadow but don’t have time for a full cut-crease look, wet your eyeshadow brush! This makes the eyeshadow you're applying ten times more pigmented. It will also give you the pop of color that you need, without spending 20 minutes creating a crazy eyeshadow look.
Bronzer
Not into eyeshadow but still want to add some depth to your look? Use your bronzer to sweep some color onto your eyes. This will give you a neutral, yet sultry eye look. This also saves you the money of going out and buying eyeshadows! Using the bronzer for a nice golden glow on the face, while also adding some depth to the eyes helps you kill two makeup steps with one product.
Mascara
Mascara time! Before you add mascara, be sure to always brush out your eyelashes in order to avoid any clumps. This allows the mascara to coat each lash individually, while also giving you more volume and less clumpiness!
Addi Oliel, a makeup artist with her own studio, Makeup by Addi, located in Rockville, Maryland recommends using eyeliner to make your eyes look more awake.
“There are a range of styles you can do with eyeliner to help make your makeup look more put together,” said Oliel.
For example, try winging your eyeliner one day or lining the inner corner of your eyes the next. These are alternatives to help make your eyes pop.
Blush
Last but not least, blush is a great way to add some color to your face, making you look more awake. If you’re someone who loves having your blush and lipstick match, or you just need a quick blush color, use your lipstick! All you have to do is blot your lipstick on your cheeks and use your fingers or a brush to blend it out. You’ll have a natural rosy complection in a matter of seconds.
