The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show returned to New York City after filming internationally for the past two years. Filmed on Nov. 8 but airing on CBS on Dec. 2, this year’s show was one of many firsts.

One of this year’s collections was designed in collaboration with Mary Katrantzou, a London-based designer.

“Everything that Victoria’s Secret creates is about a woman feeling confident and empowered—and also having fun with what she is wearing. This collaboration is going to be bold, fun and playful,” Katrantzou told CR Fashion Book. The collaboration’s theme is called “Floral Fantasy.”

The angels will strut down the runway to a number of musical guests including Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, Rita Ora and The Struts. Many of our favorite angels will be returning to the runway, including our favorite trio - Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid. Jenner was not able to walk in last year’s show due to a conflicting La Perla campaign and it’s rumored that Gigi Hadid was barred from getting a visa due to a controversial Instagram post.

Winnie Harlow will be making her VS debut as well as being the first model to walk the runway with a skin condition. Harlow has a condition called vitiligo, which causes patches of pigmentation loss to the skin.

“I’ve cried a lot but mostly tears of happiness. This is the first major show I’ve done that will be broadcasted across the world on TV, which raises the stakes big time. But I’m more excited than anything else,” Harlow told People.

The highly anticipated, Swarovski-studded fantasy bra will be worn by Elsa Hosk. The bralette style bra with matching body chain took 930 hours to make and is valued at $1 million. For the first time ever, customers will be able to purchase a version of the fantasy bra for $250. "I put it on and I was like, 'It looks like someone just made magic and put it on my body,’" Hosk told People.

Controversy erupted after the taping when Victoria’s Secret Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek was asked about casting transgender models. “Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should. Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy,” Razek told Vogue. Many modeling agencies and models responded to these comments. Karlie Kloss and Lily Aldridge both posted Instagram stories of graphics that celebrate trans lives. Victoria’s Secret later tweeted an apology.

Adriana Lima will be wearing her wings for a final time, after walking in 18 shows in the past 20 years. Lima received a standing ovation and held back tears as she gave one last bow at the end of the runway.

“Dear Victoria, Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly. ❤️ to the best fans in the 🌎! Love, Adriana 💖," Lima wrote on Instagram.

Tune into CBS on Dec. 2nd at 10 p.m. to watch a magical show of new beginnings and bittersweet goodbyes.
