Fall Beauty Must-Haves
The transition into fall means letting go of the natural tan, flip flops, and freckled look. As we move into crisper weather and the environment turns into an array of colors, the beauty community’s makeup trends tend to change as well.
Skin Care (Primer)
It’s extremely important to keep your skin moisturized when seasons change, especially with fall bringing in cooler weather. My personal favorite at the moment is the First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer, it works as a moisturizer as well as a primer, so your skin stays hydrated and your foundation last all day long!
Lips
To keep chapped lips away, I always reach for my Crème Brûlée Vaseline. It will keep your lips hydrated, and they will appear fuller and glossier as well without the hassle of putting on a real lip gloss. Plus, it smells amazing!
A beautiful fall inspired lippie is L’Oréal’s Colour Riche Lipstick in Raisin Rapture. Burgundy colors look great on every skin tone, and really bring out the essence of the season. Wine-red and deep plum tones also emphasize the shape of your lips, and look perfect alongside any fall outfit, like a cute cardigan and some boots. Not to mention that L’Oréal is known for its incredible quality at an affordable price.
If you're more of a nude-toned person, there are plenty of great lipsticks that will not only hydrate your lips, but emphasize your pout as well. Velvet-Teddy, a lipstick by Mac, is a beautiful burnt-nude. It is almost the color of natural lips, but provides a more neutral, orange tone. This will look stunning next to the surroundings of campus!
Eyes
Deep raspberry and orange smoky eyes always draw in attention. A gorgeous palette I’ve grown to love is the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette. It mixes warm tones with purple and pinkie shades which allow for a variety of looks to be created. The palette is notorious for being extremely easy to blend as well, so it’s completely beginner friendly! The palette includes 2 shimmery shades alongside the 12 mattes, a pearl and a light gold, perfect for the inner corner of the eye and the lid, as well as a brush and mirror. These little add-ons are perfect for the on-the-run student, since the mirror allows for your eyeshadow to be done anywhere at any time.
Highlight
Rihanna just launched her own beauty line, and her highlighters have been sweeping the nation. There are 2 full shades, and then the rest are split pan: one side is a subtle sheen while the other is a more intense highlight. She came out with shades to compliment every single skin tone! Her line includes a stark, yellow-gold that looks perfect on deeper complexions, as well as a pure white for paler complexions. These highlights, whether subtle or intense, will bring an angelic glimmer to your complexion, and make you appear glowing among the crisp, grey weather Maryland tends to bring with it in the fall.
